About Slyppugil campsite

Located just a short 250-meter walk from Langidalur, Slyppugil is a convenient starting or ending point for various hiking and biking trails. You can easily explore iconic routes from our campsite, like Tindfjallahringur, Laugavegur, and Fimmvörðuháls.

Our facilities include spacious camping areas where you can pitch your tent and enjoy a serene night’s sleep under the Arctic sky. We also provide toilets, showers, and cooking areas with stoves or grills, for you to prepare your own meals.

Slyppugil campsite is open from June 1st to August 31st, allowing you to experience the magic of Thórsmörk during the summer season.

Whether you’re seeking a nature retreat or an adventurous outdoor experience, our campsite is the ideal starting point. Join us at Slyppugil and embark on an unforgettable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the highlands!
